University YMCA® (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University)

Mission:

Affilated to the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, University YMCA (PolyU) was founded in 2012. In accord with the University motto, "To learn and to apply, for the benefit of mankind", while embracing YMCA's mission, "To serve, not to be served", University YMCA (PolyU) strives to promote the holistic development of students' body, mind, and spirit, facilitate students to promote the YMCA movement through joint university and college activities, and nurture young leaders.

Eudaemonia (The 12th Student Executive Committee):

「烻」代表發光發亮，「憬」代表憧憬、充滿希望。「烻憬」可以理解為「延續的希望」，一起烻憬著美好的未來，不停地追求成長和進步。我們憧憬著建設更美好和不遺餘力地服務社會。因此我們希望凝聚一群年輕人，提供烻燃的服務給社會及服務大眾，以回饋社會。

英文名稱「Eudaemonia」的意思為幸福。我們通過追求自我實現來實現真正的幸福，不只是感到快樂，更是一種全面、充實的生活狀態，包括道德、智慧、人際關係等方面的完善發展。我們期望可以為不同社會階層帶來幸福，用我們每人微小的力量去幫助別人，使他們有更美好的生活狀態。

The Student Executive Committee mainly focuses on the following three core areas:

1. Global Citizenship:
To broaden members' horizons and nurture them into responsible global citizens through study and service trips
2. Community Engagement:
To raise members' awareness and understanding of social issues and promote their concern for the disadvantaged through voluntary services and activities related to social issues
3. Christian Action:
To spread the Christian teachings and facilitate members to become humble servant leaders through diversified experiences
